Mic and Rock to Cure Show Flyer |
Tuesday, February 16th, The Music Industry Club here at SUNY Oneonta held their annual event the Mic and Rock to Cure Show in the Hunt Union Ballroom. Each year the “MIC” chooses to donate their proceeds to a foundation of their choice. Last year, the show was in honor of Dr. Orlando Legname who was the Department chair of the Music Industry department. This year the event was held in honor of Tyler DeMarco, who passed away in 2010 from cancer. Tyler’s brother, Ryan, was an active member of the Music Industry department at SUCO and all of the proceeds from this event went to the DeMarco family.
The show was a widely anticipated event, especially by friends of Ryan and members of the Muisc Industry Club. Executive Board member, Peter Glemch said, “I’m really excited for this show because the foundation is for my friend’s brother and there’s a lot of good bands playing.”
