It was indeed a close game. Both teams played good offense and used the arch to get those quick easy points.

Some background of this important event. Battle of the Red Dragons is when Cortland comes to Oneonta and plays both male and female team on home court. It is the biggest game of the season for SUNY Oneonta. Since Cortland's mascot is also a red dragon (just without the wings), that causes us to be mascot rivals. During Battle of the Red Dragons, the music group on campus called Chamber Singers, sing the national anthem for both games. Also, there is the banner contest and small prizes . The banner contest is, ever residence hall on campus designed their own banner based on the game. The winner would win a big prize for the entire building. For half time the drum line, Drag'n Rolls, had a drum competition between two drummers in the club.
