Whether it's going to the bars, enjoying the scenery or catching an Oneonta Outlaws game, there is always something to do. One popular place or hangout for the Oneonta inhabitants in the Autumn Cafe, located on Main Street.
The Autumn Cafe is primarily known for its uniqueness in design and menu options. Upon walking in, the customer is greeted with a homey atmosphere and warm cherry wood furnishing. The restaurant also features a walk up bar which is home to 10 microbrews and hard cider for consumption. Also a perk of its location, when the weather is nice the Autumn Cafe has an outdoor eating patio that seats over 60 people overlooking the Susquehanna River Valley.

Being in business for 36 years, the Autumn Cafe knows how to keep people happy and coming back. The Cafe is home to many loyal customers and employees who have only good things to say about the cafe. One employee is Mike, the head chef who I had the pleasure of speaking with.
"The Autumn Cafe is a great place man. We see new and old customers each and every day. It has been cool for me to see and develop relationships with people. Especially if I'm making their food, said Mike."
The Cafe boats a menu of items that cannot be purchased anywhere else. A very popular entre among the customers is the Hot Open Tempeh or Tofu. This dish features broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and onions over brown rice with gravy and your choice of grilled tofu or tempe.
"We cook using a lot of curie and outrageous spices. I can't tell you what else we put in there because that's my secret. I've been working here since 2001 and it has been nothing but a rewarding experience. I hope customers enjoy my cooking as much as I enjoy making it. It's great to come to work every day especially when you make great food, said Mike."
