Katie Mckenty star player for Hartwick

Katie McKenty Star Player

Katie McKenty is one of the top three player on her water polo team that plays every game. Katie McKenty hometown is in New Zealand. Katie is just a sophomore with alot of great skills in the water. She is playing for a team that is top 20 rank in the country. She is team’s third-highest point producer with 96 points. With 48 assists ranked second on the team also  ranked fourth on the team in goals scored with 48. 

Also Katie is a second scholar athlete representing heartsick in Division 1 Water polo. 

Before she attened hartwick college Katie played volleyball. Also for this heartsick star, Water polo has been a huge part of her life growing up. 

Katie loves the school she is in because of her water polo teammates. Katie is a student that loves to help her teammates on and off the pool. All her teammates could say that she is a friend that could always put a smile on your face. 

With Water polo McKenty studies very hard and works to ensure she maintains good grades while playing the sport she loves. Currently sitting on the dean’s list for the second time in her college life, the Geology major says being an athlete can sometimes make it difficult for her but it makes her a more organized student in the long run. Katie the Hartwick star, Water polo has been a huge part of her life growing up and she has to thank her high school for showing her the game.

Alan Huckins Head Coach 

Alan Huckins is entering his 13th season as head coach of the Hartwick College water polo program in the 2015-16 academic year and he says that Mckenty is a great player from all the years he has been coaching. Alan says he loves the way how Katie always has her team hyper before a game. Also how Katie shows a lot of respect towards the waterpolo team.
